Ebony Lamb, one of New Zealand’s finest singer-songwriters, delivering a unique blend of indie-folk-alt-pop with a voice described by Rolling Stone as “imbued with the honey-soaked hue of an artist like Sharon Van Etten.” Lamb captivates audiences with her poetic lyrics and vivid, surrealistic intimacy. As a Taite Music Prize finalist for her self-titled debut solo album, produced by two of New Zealand most prestigious artists Bic Runga and Kody Nielson (UMO), she has transformed everyday moments and memories into a rich tapestry of sound that resonates deeply with listeners. Lamb’s reputation for delivering powerful performances has seen her support internationally lauded acts such as Beth Orton, Calexico, Jimmy Barnes, Marlon Williams, and Andy Shauf. Ebony Lamb is released on Nadia Reid’s boutique label “Slow Time Records”.

Drawing comparisons to Gillian Welch, Cat Power and Neko Case, Ebony released three critically-acclaimed albums with her former band Eb & Sparrow in Wellington New Zealand before embarking on a solo career under her own name. “EBONY LAMB” is a watershed work from a genuine talent coming into her own, the album’s first single ‘Take My Hands at Night’ was nominated for the 2023 APRA Silver Scroll Award, and album for the sought after cult favourite “Taite Music Prize” 2024.

Ebony Lamb with Gram Antler is a creative collaboration that has spanned over a decade of songwriting, arranging, releasing albums and touring throughout New Zealand. With a prolific history in the Pōneke and Aotearoa music community as musicians, they have combined their strengths to create an outlet for their work both aural and visual (under the name STUDIO ELGA at times) with a DIY attitude and artistic compulsion, creating music video, recordings and scoring.

Gram Antler is the solo project of Pōneke singer, bass player and guitarist, Jason Johnson (Ebony Lamb, Marlon Willams, French For Rabbits, Eb & Sparrow). A reformed choirboy and post-alt-country, Johnson presents Gram Antler as an anachronism, a man unstuck in time, so it goes. The songs aspire to be pop, but seem to congeal into a form that can only be described as New Folk - Slacker Yacht-Rock. Hooky and melodic, and full of lush texture.

Gram Antler has released two singles “Kenwood” and “By Myself” as part of a full album which was written and recorded with award-winning Melbourne-based producer Brett Stanton (The Phoenix Foundation, Beastwars, Holly Smith).
